Sarah is a collage artist, graphic designer and web developer. She has participated in several collaborative deck projects including the Collaborative Tarot, the Goddess Deck, Maninni II Tarot, Universal Dollie Tarot and Artist Inner Vision Tarot (published 1999).

When Sarah first encountered the Tarot over fifteen years ago, her first impulse was to cut up the cards to create collage art. Later it occurred to her to cut up art and create collage Tarot instead. The product of this inspiration is Victoria Regina Tarot.

Sarah drives an art car, "Undersea Mah Jongg," and lives in Durham, North Carolina with her co-author, Georg Patterson, and their family of dogs. For more information, see www.funnystrange.com.

Valerie Sim

Creator of the Victoria's Chalice spread
Valerie Sim is a Certified Tarot Instructor (CTI) on the shamanic path living in Northern California who shuffled her first deck of Tarot cards in 1968 and began casting astrological charts in 1973. Both continue to be passions for her, as does her work in canine rescue. After over a decade of working with the Comparative Tarot Method, a method of card studying/reading that she "named", taught, and was the first to write about publicly, Valerie founded the popular email list ComparativeTarot@yahoogroups.com. Valerie is a member of ATA, ITS and NCGR, and is a frequent reviewer for Tarot Passages. She is currently finishing up a book to be published by Llewellyn Publishing in 2003 entitled Tarot: Out of the Box.
